Support at Home
If your needs assessment finds you are eligible for care and support, support at home can help to keep you as independent as possible.
At home care is also known as home care or domiciliary care. Here you can find information on extra care schemes and home care providers.
Extra Care
If you’re over 55 and eligible for care and support, extra care is an affordable housing option that can provide 24-hour support to live independently in your own flat with your own front door.
A team of staff are on-site 24/7 and for peace of mind, you can ask them to help with things like washing, dressing, going to the toilet or taking medication.
Schemes often have communal spaces to socialise with other people who live there for examples community spaces, a bistro or café, beauty salons and laundry rooms.
There are currently 4 schemes across Tameside with Creative Support as onsite providers offering 24-hour support.
Support at Home Providers
By working closely with Carers, you can achieve the goals that matter to you. This could be help with getting out of bed, washing, dressing, getting to work, cooking meals, eating, seeing friends and going to do take part in activities in your local area.
If you do not meet the assessed needs, homecare can be accessed privately.
Below is a list of providers across Tameside.

Comfortcall Denton, Droylsden and Audenshaw
